Elm Class - Church Visit
The Year 1 children visited St James' Church. The rain did not stop us walking up! We enjoyed our walk, looking for evergreen and deciduous trees along the way. We also looked for different numbers we could find, including odd and even numbers on the houses!
When we arrived at the church, Reverend Simon and Mrs Hartley greeted us. We had a look at all the different parts of the church and our favourite part was going up on the balcony! Reverend Simon baptised our teddy, Edward, at the font. We had parents and godparents and the congregation clapped at the end!
We had a wonderful morning and will be writing a recount about our visit to St James' Church.
