Aspirations Day!

We held our Raising Aspirations Day on Friday 10th February. The children started the day by watching a video sent from Burnley born and bred Jordan North. Jordan, who is also a St James' Boy, filmed the video in the radio 1 studios. You can watch the video below.

Children then spent the morning taking over the school in roles such as headteachers, teachers, IT technicians, site supervisors and welfare staff amongst others. The afternoon was then spent with other ex-pupils visiting the school discussing the jobs they have now such as probation officers, financial fraud investigators, business owners along with the children watching a variety of videos from ecologists to radio presenters.

The children all had an amazing day. We got to see with our own eyes past St James' pupils flourishing into amazing adults. We are very thankful to all the past pupils who gave up their time to come and speak to the children.
