St James’ SWAT group joined forces with children from eleven other local schools on 7th November at the ACE Centre in Nelson.
The theme of the day was Remembrance Day, with children and staff wearing WW1 costumes.
The children took part in several workshops including drama, musical theatre and art. The highlight of the day was the performances the children gave and the art displays. The children crafted a large poppy from wicker to bring home and this is now proudly displayed in the school hall.
Thank you to all parents who supported the event. The children looked fantastic in their costumes.
