Today we had a very special visitor, Mrs Anne Kelly, our new Mayor. We were all very excited to see Mrs Kelly in her new role as town Mayor. The children remember her from her time here as a Governor where she regularly visited school to spend time with the children and also attended educational visits. Mrs Kelly came in a different capacity this time however, and spent the morning with our pupils completing many Mayoral duties. The children were very impressed with Mrs Kelly’s livery collar and the official Mayor’s car. The EYFS children have had a very good look so that they recognise the car around Burnley and can give Mrs Kelly a wave! Mrs Kelly also joined our whole school celebration worship and was impressed by the children’s lively rendition of E-N-J-O-Y- our favourite worship song! We look forward to seeing our Mayor again at future school events.
