The Class 4/5 children finally got to visit the Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre on the 29th April, after the previous trip was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. The trip was worth the wait however as they received an extra workshop too for the delay!
The children had a lovely day looking around the Science and Discovery Centre. They were very impressed with the Lovell Telescope there as it is the largest telescope in the UK, it was VERY big!
In the first workshop the children designed and created a parachute for an egg. The parachute had to prevent the egg from breaking when dropped when dropped.
The second workshop was a carousel of science experiments which included testing the pH of sand and identifying different rocks from their properties.
